Born on May 1st 1975 Julie's first time in front of an audience happened as and Ice skater, she began to skate at the age of only three and was once ranked 13th in the 1988 US Championships in the Junior ice dancing. By the age of sixteen and injury forced her to forget skating as a profession and turn her attention onto acting, she studied acting at N.Y. University and later she moved to LA to peruse her dream of being an actress. She has had many small roles such as "Hang time" and "Sliders" and also had a small part on the big screen as a receptionist in "As good as it gets".

She auctioned firstly for the role of Buffy and like Charisma she also did not get the role, however she was recalled and asked if she would play the vampire named Darla which has proven to be a wonderful character both on Buffy and now on Angel also. She is currently working on a film called "A Fate Worse Than Death" directed by John Kretchmer.

One of her greatest passions is shopping, she gives advice on various aspects of this like makeup clothes etc from her official website, she also loves to cook and has two dogs named Elvis and Gracie.
