James Marsters is originally from Modesto California born on the 21 August
1969, he has appeared in several films and also guest starred in Millennium and Northern
Exposure. He studied at Julliard and came to LA in 1997 after spending more than ten years
with a regional-Theater circuit.
He then landed a recurring role in The Single Guy. When James auditioned for Spike he had
dark curly hair quite like David's, the producers had to imagine him as Spike and his
audition obviously went well. Since then James hasn't looked back, his character has
become one that everyone loves to hate. He has recently been working on both Buffy and
Angel with a classic opening in the crossover of Angel things couldn't be better for him.
Long live Spike!
James is now a regular on Angel what lies ahead for him only time will tell!
