Christian Kane was born in Dallas, Texas his real name is Chris Short. His family moved around a lot which contributes to the accent that you may have noticed, they finally settled down in a small town called Norman in Oklahoma. Where Christian attended the University, he had plans to do a major in Art History but the acting bug bit him and rather than stick it out he decided that Hollywood was the place for him. So he took his saving of just a few hundred dollars got in his truck and headed for Hollywood.

Upon arriving he like many other actor when they first begin found it not that easy to get parts, he took odd jobs like a mailroom clerk while continuing to audition for parts. His big break happened in 1997 when he was cast as the male lead role in "Fame LA" based on the popular movie and the 80's TV show. He played Ryan "Flyboy" Legget allowing him to act and sing at once. The show however was cancelled after 22 episodes, but he didn't find much problem in getting work, he was cast as yet another leading man in "Rescue 77" playing Wick Lobo unfortunately due to poor ratings this show was also cancelled.

He was soon back in the loop and was cast in "EdTv" starring Woody Harrelson, and also a made for TV Western called "Crossfire Trail" with Tom Selleck. He is also working on a new film alongside Freddie Prinze Jr and Marc Blucas who is in Buffy.

Christian's part in Angel is a very sinister one at times, although to explore his character much be great fun we hope that he will stay a part of the show for a good time to come....
