Back at the hotel, Cordelia patches Angel up as they discuss ways to find her, they unfortunately do not even know her name and Angel insists that she must be found as her powers are way out of control (no shit!). As Bethany sleeps she begins to dream of her father, Lilah enters her room and sees things are beginning to move as she sleeps, she awakes abruptly and a lamp fly's and hits Lilah she shouts for Bethany not to leave but she runs out the door onto the streets of LA. Meanwhile Angel is also sleeping dreaming of Darla once more, when he returns back downstairs they explain that they are no closer to finding her, until she walks through the door of the hotel. Angel invites her in while Cordelia is not so sure she begins to feel that something is not quite right, while Lilah is in Holland's office she receives a call from Bethany and she learns where she is, the look of horror upon her face.

Bethany tells Angel that she does not want to talk about herself and her powers and he explains that she must control them, she tells him what she experiences when it actually happens and as they begin to actually talk Wesley enters saying that they have other more important cases and that they must let her go, go back to her friends or maybe her father - this causes her powers to explode and she sends both Angel and Wesley flying into the air, Angel ends up in the daylight and scrambles out of it so fast (no crispy Angel for us please!) and Wesley gets thrown up against the wall. Afterwards they realise that sexual abuse from her father had in fact triggered the powers when she was very young, Angel asks Wesley to leave as he cannot help her while he is around as she will never trust him after that, Cordelia also returns home and Angel stays with Bethany. As Angel sleeps Bethany enters his room, he calls out Darla's name and she says it's just me, she throws herself at him (anyone else wanna try?) and when Angel touches her to stop her she almost loses control once again, he tells her that he maybe the only one that can help her, as she leaves we see Darla emerge from the shadows.

Next day she and Angel try to control her power by moving a scarf from the floor to wrap around Angel's neck she succeeds, Cordelia tells Angel that he must go and meet Gunn to try and find out who Bethany's attackers where, she assures Angel that she will be fine as she will take her shopping (gotta be shopping hey gals!). Gunn and Angel discover that the thugs sent after Bethany where in fact sent by Wolfram and Hart, while Cordelia and Bethany are enjoying their shopping trip that is until a guy comes up and injects Bethany with a tranquilliser gun, as Cordelia tries to get her away a van comes around the corner and the men take Bethany away inside it. Angel and Wesley come around the corner in the convertible and speed after the van. Angel jumps onto the van takes out the guys inside and returns Bethany back to the hotel where she is safe.

When Lilah finds out that they failed she tells them to let Angel play with little miss time-bomb and to set off the trigger, back at the hotel Angel explains to Bethany that it was Lilah that sent the people after her, not believing him at first she begins to lose control once again, Angel manages to calm her down. As she opens the door to leave the room she is faced with her father, the windows blow out and the room begins to shake as her power begins to build. After he father states that if she comes home it will be like it was before the room becomes still once more. Angel gets up from the floor and is immediately pinned against it by Bethany unable to move, she begins to raise her father from the ground, Angel tells her to finish it and she sends him flying out the window, just before he hits the ground she stops him and releases him to the ground without any injury (I bet that guy needed a clean pair of underpants huh).

Bethany returns to Lilah's apartment number 126 and packs up her belongings into her suitcase, Lilah pleading with her to stay she of course fails and she leaves the apartment with Angel, Angel tells Lilah that they must find some other mind to play with and she tells him that they have someone in mind. As Angel and Bethany leave the building Lilah looks down the stairs at them and says "Sweet Dreams".
