The vision shows a rather nasty demon N.D.U.O attacking a young woman, they hit the books. They find out that it is in fact a Prio Motu Demon an ancient ofga beast that was only bred to massacre and maim. Wesley knows where he can get some information a demon named Merl who hangs out at the Karaoke bar should have the information that they are looking for. At the Karaoke bar they find the demon and he tells them that the Prio maybe in the subtunnels, Angel also meets MC and is asked to sing he refuses saying that there are three things he doesn't do, suntan, sing in public and date and he swiftly leaves the bar. As Angel walks through the subtunnel he encounters a pregnant woman, from out of nowhere the prio jumps and attacks Angel, after a short fight Angel breaks the demons neck assuring the woman that everything will be fine now. The woman turns to the dead Demon and begins to cry and caress the Demons forehead, Angel can do nothing be look on in disbelief. The woman begins to leave telling Angel to stay away from her, he has killed her only friend and her protector.

Angel returns to the apartment where he explains to Wesley and Cordelia what happened, Cordelia says that she in fact didn't sense any fear when she had her vision, shame she couldn't of mentioned that a little earlier! Angel declares that the Prio's mission to protect the woman is now his and he leaves to search her out taking Gunn with him. They find the hideout after a confrontation with the demon Merl once again inside Angel discovers the Prio Demons name "Kamal" he also discovers what looks like a coat of arms or talisman hidden inside a wooden box. He tells Gunn to take this back to the apartment and give it to Wesley so that he can find out what it is and what it means. As Angel looks around some more the woman returns he explains to her that he is here to help and that he will be her protector just as she is about to leave a demon attacks them, Angel knocks it out and they run. They come up in a old abandoned hotel, Angel looks around and we see that there is something more to this hotel than what meets the eye. He orders the woman to go back to the apartment while he fights off the demons. When Angel returns to the apartment to find the woman not there Wesley tells him that the Talisman is needed when facing the ancient court this of which has no fixed location. Angel decides that the time has come he must do one of the things he swore he never would sing in public so that MC can read his mind, after an absolutely hysterical version of Barry Manilows "Mandy" (wonderful, great, fantastic, FUNNY!) MC tells him that he made an honest mistake and that the woman is at 4th and Spring.

As she walks down the road the ancient council appear from nowhere and ask her for the coat of arms, as she has no champion and no coat of arms the tribunal declare she must forfeit her life, Angel appears and throws the coat of arms on the ground declaring that he is her champion. And so the fight begins on horseback, after they both are thrown from their horses the demon that is their to take her life impounds a sword straight through Angel turns to the tribunal and declares himself the winner. Angel gets up from the ground and takes his head straight off declaring himself the winner and the woman goes free. The tribunal declare that her child shall be protected until it reaches the age of consent.

Back at the apartment they put the whiteboard away as they are doing a job not taking score, Angel leaves saying that he has somewhere to be. We cut to the prison where Faith and Angel sit, he tells her about having to sing "Mandy" and she thought she was having a bad day. Maybe they both will make it along the rocky path to redemption.
