They find the guy Jamell in an empty parking lot, he says that he cannot tell them where he is as he will kill him, Gunn gets a little heavy with him and Angel ends up stopping him from beating the guy to a bloody pulp. Vampires enter and Jamell runs away, Angel seems to struggle with the fight and they discuss this afterwards he just claims that he is having a bad day. Cordelia drops Angel off at the hotel and he announces that he is going back to bed, Cordelia is a little surprised by this as it is the middle of the afternoon. She takes his car and heads home.

As she settles down she has a strong vision of Gunn in trouble, Denis helps her with the telephone only to get no answer from both Wesley and Angel who is in the middle of another dream that involves Darla. Cordelia heads out with weapon in hand to Gunn's place. When she arrives she sees Gunn fighting with a guy and enters knocking him over the head with the axe she bought with her. Gunn tells her that she didn't save his life and she hears laughter turning and seeing his other friends she realises that they where just training.

Wesley enters Angel's bedroom to wake him up and almost gets choked to death by his naked boss (not that us gals mind naked DB!) and they proceed to try and find out where Gunn and Cordelia are, Angel realising that she has his car is faced with the bright pink helmet, reluctant to put it on Wesley tells him to stop being such a WANKER and put it on (how terribly British, shame most Americans don't know what it means!). By this time Angel's car has been stolen and Cordelia is sticking next to Gunn no matter what, they enter a party to try to find the guy that is most likely the one that has stolen Angel's car. Vampires crash through the door and begin to attack the guests, a good friend of Gunn's gets caught in the crossfire and a large piece of glass embeds in her neck, Cordelia gets there too late to stop her from removing it, she tells Gunn she needs a doctor NOW! At the emergency room the doctors take Veronica away so that they can treat her and Gunn paces in the waiting room, he mistakes Veronica for Alonna. Cordelia realises that he has a lot of guilt.

Angel and Wesley finally get to the party to find police and the ambulance there at the scene, they ask one girl about Gunn and Cordelia who makes no sense at all until Angel head butts her and she goes vamp face she then tells them what she knows. Meanwhile Gunn and Cordelia find Angel's car in the garage only to be faced with having no keys that is until Deevak enter and says "you looking for these", Gunn orders Cordelia to leave but she won't, Deevak grabs Gunn and lifts him from the ground slowly choking him, he turns into Jamell, Cordelia brings out the mace and sprays it into his eyes, he once again turns into Deevak. He drops Gunn just as Angel and Wesley enter sliding under the door on the motorcycle (pink helmet and all). A fight breaks out and Deevak goes for Gunn he seems almost powerless against the large and very ugly Demon and just as he is about to kill Gunn Angel shouts out axe to Cordelia and she throws it to him, Angel jumps and embeds the axe into Deevak's head killing him.

Outside Wesley tells Angel he has found the keys but they are covered in Demon blood, puss whatever you wanna call it, it's gross and they decide to hot-wire the car instead. Cordelia tells Gunn that it was not the Demon that was the harm to him it is in fact himself and she will be their for him until he can resolve his problems, reluctant at first Gunn does accept this and smiles at Cordelia.

We cut back to Angel's dream, Darla tells him that no one ever thanks him for what he does and she is the one that takes care of him, she proceeds to caress him, we cut back to his bedroom and in fact see that Darla is in fact in the room sitting on top of him while he sleeps, she says "I could just eat you up" maybe she will after all she has payback for him staking her back in Sunnydale!
