| We at last go into Angel's past in this episode, we encounter his dreams
and how he is dreaming about killing in the early hours of the morning in L.A.. Only one
problem with this is that the dreams are coming true... Scared that he is in fact doing
them himself, and the fact that because Wesley is an x-watcher and knows about his past he
gets Cordelia and Wesley to tie him up all night so that they can be sure that it isn't/or
is him that is performing the killings.. We go back into the depths of Angels 200+ past, seeing him and another Vampire kill, women, children and men.. This is Ben the Vampire that Angel sired years/centuries before.. Copying Angelus's ritual killings by leaving the mark of a cross in their left cheek... Kate is the one on the case and Angel realises that she will get herself killed unless she knows the truth about who he is and what she is dealing with. Setting Kate up and following her as she shoots Ben and he gets up again throwing her across the room, just as he approaches her Angel burst though the ceiling and is faced with his old friend... Kate looks on in horror as she sees at last who Angel really is as he fights with Ben in the run down building. After he escapes Kate still refuses to accept what she saw, only after research does she finally accept it and find out all about Angelus - and what a brutal killer he really was then.. After encountering Ben at the office Angel tracks him down to a hotel and sees his next plan of a bus full of school children.. Angel however has reservations, which turn out to be right when Penn snatches Kate and takes her into the sewers to kill her. Finding them they fight, Penn however being taught by Angel hiself gets the better of him and Kate is faced with them both, with large pole in hand.. She looks at Angel, Angel looks back with Penn right behind him - she impales the pole straight through them both, dusting Penn and leaving Angel with the pole straight through him, missing his heart.. She has finally and ultimately accepted who he is although not liking it.. |

| I love this episode, it has to be the best one so far even tops I will
remember you.. It is definitely getting to the the point where I myself prefer to watch
Angel than Buffy... Rating 10/10 |
