Andy Hallett was born on the 4th August 1975 (Andrew Alcott Hallett) and is from the tiny Cape Cod village of Osterville, part of the town of Barnstable. He attended Barnstable High School and then Assumption College in Worcester. He has always been shy and did not begin singing until Patti LaBelle invited him on stage at a concert. Andy moved to Los Angeles and worked as a courier for an agency and then moved up to become the property manager and personal assistant. Joss actually saw Andy singing in a Universal City blues revue and conceived the character of the Host who reads people when they open up on stage and sing in his Karaoke bar. Andy was therefore invited to try out for the job as the Host and this was his very first job as an actor, he even signed up with his agent after he had already got the part in Angel.
Andy know has one full season of Angel under his belt and what a huge success he has been all the fans love the Host and Andy. We are all hoping to see a lot more of him over the next coming season, we wish him all the best.
